People spend a lot of money on some crazy things. One man’s idea of a great purchase is another man’s folly. A common thing for people to buy is a timepiece. The world is full of expensive ladies watches and expensive men’s watches, but what is it that people do to them that make their watches cost more.
A person can choose from one of the many options available to adorn their watch in such a way as to make it more valuable. If your family has a heirloom that was originally bought by your great-great-great grandfather and was a valuable piece for it’s day, you will have a good watch as an investment. This will not work for most people because of a few issues, even though the timepieces attained in this manner might be worth a fair amount. One is that the more distinguished your ancestors were, the more dysfunctional the family lines tend to become. When the wills are read of the rich and famous, they often shock a lot of people. Another reason for failure of this plan is the need to be present a few hundred years ago to influence you family member to buy the watch in the first place. Some people think that if a watch has diamonds and jewels on it, it is worth more. Adding the jewels with crazy glue might make it worth more, but it might not look as nice as someone might expect. Jewels are considered valuable by many and it could make a watch more expensive. There is no doubt that the jewels add value, but they are a hindrance to performance. The third is to make the watch as technologically advanced as you can. The more dimensions of data it displays, and the more accurate, the better. A mechanical watch needs to be wound, so you wind up resetting it a lot unless you wind it religiously. Most people can handle this, bit how about those who have large collections to wind.
