Other options to delivery
It seems commonly assumed that the way to deliver a baby is in a hospital.Or to be more precise, a lot of people think that when you have a baby that you have to use medicine. In this article we hope to point out some facts that break those assumptions. We are going to describe some different methods that might be better for you.
Of course these observations are going to be coming from the viewpoint of my experience running a San Diego midwife service. If you aren’t knowledgeable about midwives, they are women who are there to assist in the delivery process for women. Most of the time with no medicine in a homebirth.
So why are women choosing this method of delivery? For the many women that go with this method and understand it, it is because of several reasons.
First off, the use of no medicine actually helps speed up the labor and delivery process. Most women don’t realize that the use of medicine actually slows down the labor.Women want to use it because they think it stops the pain, but it actually makes the pain last longer. There are many certified midwives in San Diego who can show you proof of that.
Second, when you do use a natural method such as a waterbirth, it actually helps the muscles and the body because it soothes and relaxes during the delivery. This produces a delivery with less pain and makes having the delivery occur much faster. I have seen it helping many women have a waterbirth in San Diego.
Those are a couple of the reasons that women choose a homebirth as the method to deliver.Even though there is no use of medicine and doctors aren’t usually present, it is still a safe alternative. When you have the delivery in the home, it helps keep the act personal and private.Rather than the hospital where there will be quite a few different people who will be poking and prodding you during labor. So with those reasons in mind, many women are going with a homebirth. It is safe and dignified and a great natural process.
